For enhanced heating performance, the Athos features a convector heat system, which channels warm air between the firebox and the outer walls of the stove. This heated air is then distributed back out into the room through the heat duct above the stove’s door.
Athos 5 stoves feature a single intuitive air control lever to control both secondary and tertiary air, for simple and easy airflow adjustment. Athos 5 Wide stoves have an additional primary air control, giving you responsive control of air from below the grate – ideal for when burning smokeless fuels or to aid ignition of newly added logs.

Onyx Athos wood burning and multi-fuel stoves are suitable for installation with a 12mm hearth. This means that a typical constructional hearth may not be needed, giving you more choice when it comes to positioning your stove.
For added convenience, Athos stoves can be installed with an optional external air supply, drawing combustion air directly from outside your home.
